Dani & Chris - A Wedding At The Gatehouse

The One Where Our Best Friends Get Married. If you notice some pictures of me in this gallery, that’s why;) I had the crazy honor of being both photographer and bridesmaid, a combination that is not for the faint of heart, but one I’d do a thousand times over. I could write a million words about how much this day meant to both Nick and I, but I’ll try and keep it short. Dani and Chris are high school sweethearts, and their story is filled with an unbelievable amount of love. Their long-awaited wedding day took place at The Gatehouse at Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette, Colorado. This dreamy venue had the stain glass windows of my dreams, ivy covered brick walls, and chandeliers for days. Every single person there was their biggest fan, and it was truly incredible to see their families witness a day they’d all been rooting for since they were sixteen years old. I’ll end this with a quote from Chris, left in Dani’s yearbook their junior year: “It’s funny to think that you’ll be looking back on this years from now. I wonder, will you believe it then, like you believe it now, that I’m truly in love with you. Will you be glad that you’ve spent all this time on me, will it make you smile? I know that I will. Hell, maybe I’ll be looking back on it with you still by my side:)”
